Food Crisis Centre operates every Tuesday 9am -3pm, from Northside Christian Centre. Volunteers from
our Church run this project with the aim of helping families in crisis, supplying food hampers, pastoral care
and referral help where requested.

Our aim is to help people get back on their feet and regain their sense of value in the community.
A total of 450 families have used our support so far.

Families in crisis, with a current health care card, are eligible to receive a food hamper.

We are also continually looking for local businesses that have the desire to contribute to helping those in
crisis in our community. Donations of non perishable food and vouchers are needed every week to keep our supply stocked.

English Corner runs weekly during each term. Converation English classes for beginners help both overseas students and migrants to improve their English skills.

ACTs - Aged Care Teams are dedicated to visiting and encouraging those who have become home based
and isolated from the community. The visit involves sharing around the Bible and prayer, a time of
communion together and just being a friend.

We are looking for volunteers with a heart to be a friend and visit seniors in our community.
